San Mateo Child Welfare System
San Mateo County Human Services Agency's ongoing efforts to improve the child welfare system include partnering with other child protective stakeholders such as San Mateo County Superior Court/ Juvenile Department, probation, health department, mental health service, kin and foster parents, and permanence services for children and families in San Mateo County.

Our Funding
SMCCAPC funding comes from states mandated sources, which fall under the umbrella of the Child Abuse and Prevention Treatment Act (CAPTA) including:
- Community-Based Child Abuse Prevention Program (CBCAP)
- Child Abuse Prevention, Intervention, and Treatment program (CAPIT)
- Promoting Safe and Stable Family Program (PSSF)
Additionally, SMCCAPC receives funding through the County Children's Trust Fund http://www.childsworld.ca.gov/PG1330.htm in the form of Birth Certificate and Kids Place revenue, an annual training stipend from the Greater Bay Area Coalition of Child Abuse Councils and occasional individual donations and grants.
