Open Enrollment for 2025 Benefits is Oct. 15 - Nov. 8, 2024

Open Enrollment is your opportunity to make/change your plan elections, add/drop dependents for the upcoming year, and enroll in FSA/HSA. Selections made during Open Enrollment will be effective January 1, 2025. You will be able to make changes in Workday October 17th through November 8th, with a January 1, 2025 effective date.

2024 Benefit Enhancements Effective 1/1/2024

 

Accident Insurance is changing from Unum to Aflac

We will transition the Voluntary Accident Insurance from Unum to Aflac. This transition brings an enhanced plan design and benefit schedule including a $25 Wellness benefit payable once per calendar year per insured if you have one of several wellness tests performed.

Note: All current UNUM plan members will automatically be transitioned to the new Aflac Accident Insurance plan on January 1, 2024 unless you cancel your plan during the open enrollment period.

Cancelling or changing plans is completed in Workday. Click ‘Enroll in Voluntary Benefits’ and navigate to the Alliant Choice Plus platform. (We will NO LONGER offer the Accident Insurance through Unum)

Enhanced Voluntary Legal Insurance with MetLife

MetLife Legal Insurance now includes Divorce and Custody benefits and Plus Parents benefit. With Plus Parents, you can extend legal resources to your and your spouse’s parents with a new, reduced monthly premium! 

Transition Auto and Home Insurance to InsureOne

Starting 1/1/2024, you will have more options for Auto & Home Insurance and will see InsureOne Premier on the Alliant Choice Plus platform.

The InsureOne Premier program gives you access to an online quoting platform, dedicated service team, and experienced California agents who will compare insurance quotes across the many carriers.

Note: The Auto & Home program through Farmers, Liberty Mutual, and Travelers will end on 12/31/23. Employees can continue to get quotes through these three carriers through December 2023.

Coverage will be set up as a direct bill payment after January 1, 2024 (payroll deductions are no longer available for Auto & Home coverage after January 1, 2024)

New Voluntary Benefit Plan- Additional Option for Pet Insurance with Metlife through LifeBalance

Starting 1/1/2024, you will have an option for Pet Insurance with Metlife in addition to the current Pet Insurance with Nationwide. To learn more, log into Workday, click ‘Enroll in Voluntary Benefits’, and navigate to the LifeBalance program and search for MetLife Pet.

You may enroll in Metlife Pet Insurance through the LifeBalance platform anytime during the year starting 1/1/2024.Coverage with Metlife will be direct bill payment only.


FSA/HSA

If you wish to continue your Flexible Health or Dependent Care Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA), you must elect an annual amount during each Open Enrollment as this amount will not rollover from the previous plan year.

  • The maximum amount you may contribute to a Healthcare Flexible Spending Account for the 2025 plan year is $3,200.
  • The maximum amount you may contribute to a Dependent Day Care Flexible Spending Account is $5,000 a year.
  • The maximum amount you may contribute to a Health Savings Account (HSA) is $4,300 for individual and $8,550 for family coverage.
